I am sure people will still not get the message from it.

Wow. My pet peeve is when people complain about the internet. You know the place where you can access nearly anything and everything you want in a few seconds. Yeah. That one.

  3. We really have lost the magic of wonder. There was a time when I was a child when not only did you have to remain tied to the wall when you were on the phone, but you had to turn a crank to get the operator to connect you with someone…..that is unless someone else was using the party line. And sometimes another party on the party line would get on and listen to your conversations, or ask you to get off the line so they could make a call. You might think I am 90 or 100 but I am only 59.
When you wanted information about something you had to go to a place called a library and look through tons of books (you remember those things that were printed on paper and had a hard cardboard cover on them). At one time a computer was a giant thing that took up the entire basement of a large building. My own children were thrilled when I bought a computer. It was hooked up to your television screen and you input the programs on a cassette tape. You did not have any graphics but just letters and numbers on a screen. They played a computer game by reading on the screen “You walk through a door and enter a room where you see a stool and a leather bag. There are no windows and only the door you just came through”. Most of the spoiled generation of today have no concept of what life was really like even 10 to 20 years ago. Kids did not have cell phones so their parents could tell them to come home, they just knew they had to be home by the time set by the parents or there was hell to pay. When you played a game it involved more than just your thumbs, it was outside in the sunshine running, climbing, building something, catching things and best of all…. imagining. For all they have yet are missing out on, I feel sorry for the kids of today.
