When I was in college, even though nearly all of the professors were liberals, we really did enjoy academic freedom as students. It was only later that I had discovered the politically correct movement which pervaded the next generation, but which was promoted by our generation of professors. When I taught at Lehigh, this was not yet in full swing, but just a few years later it was.

Nancy Pelosi epitomizes such thinking, if you can call it thinking. She must be so drunk with power that she spits venom at anyone who threatens her, and has not a single thought about right or wrong, ever.

My daughter wrote me the other night, frustrated with the thinking of Michael Moore on Leno, and I assured her that it was easy to be ignorant. That should signal us that there is still hope, that she understood that.

Continuing best wishes for teaching reason on the shores of Lake Ontario.
