Estimates of the size of the “informal sector” (i.e. the Black Market) in the US indicate that 9% of activity occurs in this sector.
Does that 9% figure for the US include the trade in illegal drugs? If so, do you have any idea what proportion of the total black market is comprised of the drug trade, by value?
