When someone is “wronged” it does not follow that the remedy is to modify the actions and behaviors of the person “committing” the “wrong.” For example, if my parents are offended that I have walked away from the actual practice of Catholicism, despite my wishes for it to be otherwise, perhaps it is not my behavior that needs to be altered – especially if I tolerate the very behaviors that cause me alarm on their part. This obviously applies to the economic sphere as well.

Wintercow often leaves us with much to chew on as we go to bed.

As far as political economy goes, the world would be a better place if those who think they have been wronged would think about what is right.

Happy thoughts to Wintercow, his herd, and the red clover they chew.

I think this is along the lines of the Coase theorem. A lawyer put it thus: it takes two to tort.
