Quote of the Day
October 26, 2011 Socialism

My friend John B. should really have his own blog!

After we’ve taken care of their wealth, to keep the nation happy and prosperous we should pass a law making it illegal for there to be a wealthiest 1 percent — this country should just be the normal 99 percent.

Sure, that isn’t mathematically possible, but government shouldn’t be about what’s possible; it should be about what’s fair.

From the NY Post.

  1. Wow, that’s scary. Tough to know where to start with this.

And did you notice during the column that he makes it pretty clear that he believes our income and wealth are pretty just the result of random chance? Reminds me of what Dr. Sowell calls Cosmic Justice.

  2. the quote itself was satirical of course …

  3. jb echoes Bastiat with his proposal.

We should also blot out the sun to protect the candlemakers, and build the negative railroad.

    Brilliant, jb.

  4. not my words, from the NY Post. I’m just a distributor.

However, I would not be averse to starting a movement…WE ARE THE 53% (and dwindling)…Who pay income taxes…
