If law enforcement actually deserved the hallowed status so many give it, the recording of their activities would be encouraged rather than deemed felonious. In addition, the ubiquitous presence of surveillance cameras raises an interesting question: is the recording of a law officer entering a retail business, moving about a college campus or walking on a city street also a violation of the law?

Do you wonder why I go south to Kentucky or Tennessee when I head out east of Missouri? Illinois, hmmm, seems like I know about a former senator from there…

If the police do their job correctly, this should not be a burden to them or citizens? The police work for the people to protect and serve them. If the community wants to video tape/record law officers they should have the right. No on duty government worker has the right to hide behind laws that can get them terminated due to their actions unseen or heard by the American people. At home off duty that is their lives and they can do what they want, and yes officers should not be scrutinized for there personal life.
