Free, high quality education for all, right?
Nobody pays an extra $200,000 for a house for a good school district. You move to a place where there is a marginally better school district.
I know we have to talk in inflation-adjusted dollars, but whatever the price level in the next few weeks, hardly anybody can afford to pay an extra $200,000 for anything. This is another reason not to believe anything that comes from the propellerhead bean counters at the Brookings Institution.
Goodness. I’m a bit dubious about the implied direction of cause and effect.
