By now I am sure you all know of the disaster that is the Government Motors’ Chevy Volt. It has the honor of being among the world’s first coal-powered cars and has the other honor of selling virtually none of the units that it promised it would sell. Here’s a simple question I am hoping some enterprising reader will find out: does any member of Congress or of the Executive Branch at the cabinet level (e.g. the President or Secretary of Hedge Funds Energy Steven Chu) actually own a Volt? And if they do, did they pay for it?
How would we feel if as part of any subsidy/intervention program that members of Congress were required to partake in the mandates that they are imposing on the rest of us?
