Election Day

It shouldn’t shock me that so many people get worked up over election day. When there are enormous rents to be had and to shower upon your cronies, who can blame people? Keep in mind however that this election, and all those in the future, is NOT about Democrats versus Republicans, or your ideas versus my ideas, or anything resembling the rhetoric thrown at us during the election season. Rather, as Arnold Kling puts it, it is between civil society and the political class.

Check out this New Yorker piece – twice as many voters have no political views as have a coherent political belief system. Remember that when your friends are celebrating election day victories.

You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read? 847946
