An economist and key architect of the ObamaCare program, Jonathan Gruber is upset and nervous that the Supreme Court may decide to usurp the authority of Congress:
I’m frustrated that the future of the American health care system rests in the hands of one or two of these unelected people who might make the decision based on political grounds,
Indeed Mr. Gruber, indeed. Here’s a one question exam for you: what do you think of Lisa Jackson and the EPA or how about the FDA? Compare and contrast their power and authority (not only unelected, but not subject to systematic “judicial” review like legislation is) to that which you fear. I very much look forward to your interview on CO2 and the Clean Air Act.
Not to mention the Federal Reserve…
Geez, perfessers Rizzo and Landsberg give their easy quizzes; they must teach gut courses.
Fortunately, the ABA has not succeeded (yet!) in preventing the proles who are not lawyers on commenting on Supreme Court deliberations.
And I am shocked! Shocked! to find anybody who might be upset with the possibility of the Supreme Court ruling capriciously when the result does not fit with the cause du jour.
Wintercow asks a great question, argumentative to be sure. He is not the only one asking, and perhaps it is too much to expect for anybody who disagrees to step up and answer the question, even if they give the House of Commons answer, “I refer to my previous remarks.”
Surely Mr. Gruber reads his reviews, just as wintercow does. How about it, Mr. Gruber? Do you have a good answer to wintercow’s quiz? Do you have enough intellectual courage? All it would take, if you have already examined the subject, is to post a link.
Hahaha. The tag is You can’t have it both ways. Rizzo is some day going to publish a sixteen-volume encyclopedia of fallacies, maybe including examples uttered by himself and his friends, plus a lot of material available elsewhere. Mr. Gruber will be cited in the G-H volume. OK, maybe twenty volumes. Small market, unless you get the Dept of Education to mandate it in all school and public libraries.
“Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same.”
Bernard Shaw
Sweet Jesus that is ironic! 🙂

When ever I read Jonathan Gruber, I automatically think Hans Gruber.
Bruner. Try typing in Gruber in with your thumb on your IPhone and that is what it prompts you to write.
It’s like trying to write its. You have to use the backspace arrow to get the right spelling. Is this a conspiracy between Mr. Gruber and elements in Culpertino, CA? Getting paranoid here.
