The government doesn’t have a clue about salt intake guidelines. Let’s just give them lots more power.

The irony of socialism and the salt issue is of course that one size fits all medical and political guidelines are obviously problematic. I think one of the least discussed and appreciated aspects of health, medicine and lifestyle is the fact that the same proscriptions that make sense for one person may be dangerous for others. The beauty of capitalism is in fact the space it provides for customization as such.
