  1. Why do book publishers and websites like Amazon.com only advertise the number of pages in a book? Why not tell the reader how many words the book is? There is no doubt that while this book has more pages, it does not include as many words as this book.

  2. My current employer is adding a minor in Gender Studies. The rationale is “we recognize student interest and the need to educate young adults about gender issues.” Students are also interested in playing Halo. And they could all probably use some education on these issues too; and these issues; and these issues; etc. Where does it end? Ignore the philosophical issues – in a school with 1,110 students, we can’t be all things to all people. And people wonder why college costs so much.

  3. President Bush wants to put up a fence between the U.S. and Mexico. Yeah, that’s a good idea.

  4. Some Amazon reviewers deride the author’s family as insensitive, but I will still admit that I couldn’t help but laugh out loud and quiety weep as I read Marley and Me by John Grogan.

  5. UAW authorizes strike against Delphi … save some jobs today and do nothing about the productivity problem and there will be no Delphi to strike against in the future.

  6. Take a look at your office fridge … or how often the water cooler remains empty and unreplaced … if socialism can’t work in an office of idealists, how can it work in a huge country?
