Spain’s unemployment rate just reached 20%. Again. The US unemployment rate at the peak of the Depression was just north of 24%. The highest since then was the 10.3% we just experienced.

I guess Spain is suffering the fallout from that unfettered capitalism that it has been practicing for years. When the government starts making the economy work for the “people” instead of the people working for the economy, then all will be nice and fun in Spain.

Have a nice day.

Prof. Wintercow, in the middle of the Burt Folsom book on Robber Barons now, loving it. Mises’s Anti-Capitalist Mentality might be next.

Those two Spaniards, Wintercow and Speedmaster.

The Spanish should have known they were on the right track when they changed the gauge for their railroad. As long as it was different from France or Portugal, it would create jobs — green jobs!

Let’s not forget the Keynsean Multiplier, or the daily two-hour siesta!

Don’t forget about the 43% unemployment rates for young ones between 16 and 25 yr old!
