Renowned Kiwi philosopher (by way of the UK: ht to Kit R for correcting this for me) will be joining us tomorrow night (Thursday, May 3) at 7:00pm on campus at the University of Rochester. The event will be held at Goergen 101 (not the gym, but the science building). All are welcome!
The talk will be on, “Against Evidence-Based Policy.” Whyte is author of, among other works, Crimes Against Logic, which includes one of my favorite chapters I’ve read in the past few years, “Do You Have a Right to Your Opinion?” Jamie is witty, sharp and highly engaging. Please do join us.
Wintercow, the impresario. Wish I were there. Does Jamie play golf?
Tomorrow, I will ask my liberal county free library to order the book. If they do not, there will be hell to pay.
Jamie Whyte is a Kiwi; the British have only borrowed him.
282208 990544Superb read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing some research on that. And he really bought me lunch since I discovered it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! 773914
