My job gets more interesting when folks elect Socialists to influential positions.  Here is Hollande on the battle awaiting him:

“My true adversary in this battle has no name, no face, no party … it is the world of finance.”

So I suppose it would be natural to expect the French to retire all of its debt and run perpetually balanced budgets forever, right?

    Hollande vows to scale back the so-called “austerity” strategy so he’s going to have jump right into bed with the world of finance.

    France is the Delta House, and Dean Wormer runs the Euro from his office in Brussels. The French have put a dead horse in Wormer’s office, and have just returned from their road trip to Greece, Spain, and Italy, and have proclaimed a toga party, where they can drink more hair of the dog.

    Indeed Wintercow, if nothing should be financed, then sovereign debt and fiscal stimuli are clearly tools of the devil.
