Among the 100 largest firms today, a number-including FedEx, Microsoft, Cisco, and Home Depot–didn’t even exist in 1970. So profoundly has the landscape changed that 80 percent of the Fortune 100 companies today are different from 1970.

The piece is rather important, and is reminding folks that what the Obama Administration is bringing us is not exactly socialism, but “progressive corporatism.” If you are confused about the difference between corporatism and socialism do not feel bad … a good way to think of corporatism is that it is socialism is sheep’s clothing.
