Didn’t we fight a war 200+ years ago to rid ourselves of this sort of thing? 56 years and 320 days in the Senate. Impressive. That probably also means he has stolen more money from Americans than anyone in the history of the Republic. I am sure he’ll be proud to have that on his epitaph.
I’m also glad the Senate can manage to find the time to pass a resolution in honor of this “achievement.” That’s probably better than reading a few more pages of the health care bill. In fact, I would be strongly in favor of having the senate only do things like this for the rest of their existence. When will we be celebrating National Wintercow Appreciation Day?
